We strive to help our clients reach their ultimate state of wellness and calmness through our expertise in reflexology services.

Reflexology is a form of therapy  that involves a method of pressing on specific reflex areas or points found in the feet and the hands -most commonly, the feet are used as the areas to be treated. In the feet, there are reflex areas corresponding to all the parts of the body and these areas are arranged in such a way as to form a map of the body in the feet with the right foot corresponding to the right side of the body and the left foot corresponding to the left side of the body. By having the whole body represented in the feet, the method offers a means of treating the whole body and of treating the body as a whole.  The method has been used for several thousands of years and is known to have been practised in a similar manner by the Chinese and the Egyptians.  Reflexology does not claim to 'cure-all' but numerous different disorders can be helped by this method. These disorders include such things as migraine, sinus problems, hormonal imbalances, breathing disorders, digestive problems, circulatory problems, back problems and tension and stress. Most people who have experienced treatment would agree that the method can be most beneficial and is also a very relaxing therapy.

What does the treatment consist of?
At your first treatment, you will be asked a series of questions about yourself, your medical history, lifestyle, your reasons for wanting reflexology, etc., in order to determine the best course of action. You will then be asked to bare your feet, to sit in a reclining chair and relax. The treatment will begin!
The first treatment generally lasts approximately one hour. The sessions thereafter are normally shorter (45 minutes).

If you have never had a foot treatment before, there is no cause for concern. Certain points may be painful if there is a particular imbalance but the pain will never last long and the overall impression after a treatment is of pleasure and relaxation.
For the ticklish minded, the pressure exerted is firm enough for this not to happen. There are no dangerous side-effects from reflexology but in trying to re-establish a healthy balance, and as the energies readjust, it is possible for the patient to feel a little worse, especially the day after the treatment, before he starts to get better.

How many treatments will I need?
This entirely depends on the individual case but in general it is advisable to receive at least three weekly sessions before deciding whether you think that the treatments are having the desired effect.
